Emergency Medical Dispatch Consultant
Job Summary:
Priority Dispatch Corp.™ is looking for a qualified individual to fill this position.
Position responsibilities include:
- Evaluate emergency medical service (EMS) communications systems for compliance to best practices, policies, procedures and protocol.
- Assist ambulance, pre-hospital, public health, and public safety agencies evaluate and plan system implementation of the Medical Priority Dispatch System® including: project management of all emergency medical calltaker training, policies, quality management processes, software installation, medical call triage, resource allocation, and response prioritization, as well as NAED accreditation.
- Provide ongoing support to PDC clients for all protocol, procedure, and implementation needs.
- Assist the National Academies of Emergency Dispatch™ Standards Council on medical protocol issues through their unified evolution process.
- Write consulting reports, Journal articles, client policies and procedures as needed.
Job Requirements: Must be willing to relocate
- Paramedic certification or 5-10 years of previous paramedic practice, adult education experience, computer-aided dispatch (CAD) knowledge.
- Working knowledge of the Medical Priority Dispatch System® protocols.
- Ability to create and maintain highest levels of confidentiality when dealing with proprietary information and sensitive situations.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
Preference given to: Communication center experience, associate-level degree in public health or safety, and EMD Certification or Instructor.
